The closing ceremony of the Second-Level Master’s Programme in Social Data Science will be held on Monday, 29 September 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the De Lillo Lecture Hall (Building U7) at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
The programme, funded by the FOSSR (Fostering Open Science in Social Science Research) project of the National Research Council (CNR) and organised by the Department of Sociology and Social Research, will feature the discussion of final theses and the official proclamation of graduates, with the awarding of diplomas. On this occasion, 22 students who have successfully completed the programme will be officially proclaimed.
This two-year Master’s programme has aimed to train a new generation of researchers with strong expertise in social sciences, as well as in data collection, processing, analysis, visualisation, and communication techniques in various contexts, to tackle complex social challenges through data-driven approaches.
The curriculum combines advanced skills in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning with a solid foundation in the social and behavioural sciences, preparing highly qualified professionals for careers in research, public institutions, and the private sector.
